The main objectives for the STEM refurbishment works at Woodville Primary School were to provide a flexible learning space where staff and students could undertake an inter-disciplinary approach to teaching that will build student interest in STEM related areas. The spaces allow students’ to improve their problem-solving, creative thinking and critical analysis skills. The vibrant newly refurbished spaces provide greater flexibility by interconnecting the main spaces to each other and to smaller areas. A new outdoor area connects the laboratory areas. The spaces can be accessed by more than one class at a time, using of a variety of furnishing options / work areas or learning spaces for students. The flexible spaces facilitate collaborative project work and team teaching more easily.
