Neil Mossop

Neil Mossop

Managing Director / Board Member

Neil began his career in the construction industry as an Apprentice Carpenter/ Joiner with Adelaide builder Fricker Carrington Group. He completed his TAFE Advanced Building Certificate before establishing Mossop Group Pty Ltd in partnership with his father Bert in 1979.

As Managing Director, Neil’s focus is to ensure that Mossop Construction + Interiors delivers a quality project that meets all stakeholders’ expectations, and to develop ongoing relationships with clients and consultants.

With multiple qualifications in both company finance and building, including Contract Law, Engineers Services, and Green Star Accreditation, Neil is also actively involved in the industry as a committee and council member of the Master Builders Association (SA).

Neil continues to bring over 40 years of knowledge and experience in the construction and interiors industry to the Mossop Construction + Interiors Board.

John Mossop

John Mossop

Director / Board Member

Beginning his career in the construction industry as an Apprentice Carpenter/Joiner, John worked his way up to Site Manager with the Fricker Carrington Group before joining his brothers at Mossop Group Pty Ltd in 1983 as Project Manager and then Construction Director.

As Construction Director, John had 12 Project Managers reporting to him and was responsible for the smooth running of all construction and interior projects across a broad range of industry sectors.

Having recently stepped back from Construction Director, John now concentrates on other strategic business projects. The Mossop Construction + Interiors Board continues to benefit from the extensive experience and knowledge John has accumulated over the last 40+ years in the industry.

Ray Mossop

Director / Board Member

Ray’s construction industry career started with Adelaide Builder Fricker Carrington Group, where he was first employed as an Apprentice Carpenter/Joiner. He completed his TAFE Building Certificate before joining Mossop Group in 1980.

As Director of Special Projects, Ray has delivered value and results across a wide range of sectors. He’s now retired from the day to day operations but continues to utilise his 40+ years of industry knowledge and experience in his role on the Mossop Construction + Interiors Board.

Stephen Prosser

Stephen Prosser

General Manager / Board Member

Stephen has been part of the Mossop Construction + Interiors team for over 35 years, commencing with the company in 1982. After serving in many various roles he was appointed General Manager in 2008. His broad experience in commercial construction, contracts, and procurement have provided great guidance and support to our project teams over four decades.

As the General Manager, Stephen has overall responsibility for daily operations, including the development and implementation of appropriate management and financial systems and performance targets. Stephen also provides leadership and direction to the management team, while focusing on new business, strategic input, and project oversight.

Stephen has completed an Associate Diploma in Building Technology, a DCMA Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, and a Government Building Inspectors Qualifying Course.

Together with the three brothers, Stephen is a member of the Mossop Construction + Interiors board, and with his many years of experience he assists in setting the strategic direction of the company.

Grant Mossop

Grant Mossop

Construction Director / Board Member

Before commencing with Mossop Construction + Interiors in 1999, Grant completed a Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship and concurrently furthered his studies at a tertiary level with an Advanced Building Certificate. He recently completed his Masters in Business Administration at the University of South Australia.

With Mossop Construction + Interiors, Grant has successfully fulfilled various roles within the organisation including; On-site Carpenter, Safety Officer, Site Manager, and Project Manager. Grant was appointed to the position of Construction Manager in 2010 which involves overseeing all construction project staff and ensuring projects are delivered on program, on budget, and to a high standard. He is also responsible for maintaining client relationships throughout the duration of projects, and liaising with consultants, sub-contractors, and local authorities.

In 2011, Grant won the "Master Builders Young Builder of The Year" award and was nominated for the same award at national level. With an established reputation, Grant is recognised throughout the industry for his expertise in commercial, operational and project management. Grant also sits on the Mossop Construction + Interiors Board, and with his demonstrated ability in the construction industry he will continue to drive future business for Mossop Construction + Interiors.

Aaron Mossop

Aaron Mossop

Business Development Manager / Board Member

Aaron began his career in estimating and administration while completing his Bachelor of Building Construction Management and Economics. He moved into a Project Management role and completed many diverse projects using various contract and delivery methodologies, driving exceptional outcomes through his comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry.

Appointed Business Development Manager in December 2011, his role encompasses the development of future business opportunities to grow market share and business profitability. Specifically, Aaron maintains responsibility for the development of new relationships and the management of existing key relationships with public and private clients and consultants.

Aaron is a key member on the Mossop Construction + Interiors Board, utilising his over 20+ years of experience to drive the strategic growth of the company.

Lynda Simon

Lynda Simon

Corporate Accountant / Board Member

Lynda completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of SA before becoming a Certified Practising Accountant. In 2001, Lynda accepted a position with Mossop Construction + Interiors as our Corporate Accountant.

In her role, Lynda oversees all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the organisation, and the development of continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives. She provides ongoing recommendations to enhance financial performance and is continually seeking new business opportunities.

As a key member of the management team and the Mossop Construction + Interiors Board, Lynda brings over 15 years’ experience in her field.  Her progressive approach, and business insight, continue to assist Mossop Construction + Interiors to excel.

Adam Carpriotti

Adam Carpriotti

Estimating Manager

Adam started with Mossop in 2000 as an Estimator, working his way up to Senior Estimator and to Estimating Manager in 2008.

As Estimating Manager, Adam oversees all Mossop Construction + Interiors’ project tender bids. He leads our team of experienced Estimators from pre-tender to pre-start and through procurement. Specifically, Adam maintains responsibility of ensuring a focused, collaborative approach by the Mossop team to provide the best value-for-money outcome for the project stakeholders.

Adam has led the Estimating team over the past 10 years to secure Lump Sum and Managing Contractor bids on a significant number of projects ranging from hospitals, prisons, schools, aged care homes, shopping centres, commercials offices, university buildings, office fit-outs, and refurbishments. Adam has an in-depth knowledge of trade packaging, quantity of materials, labour hours, and subcontractor strengths and weaknesses.

Jathin Balan

Jathin Balan

Design / Business Development Manager

Jathin has extensive experience and success in all aspects of project delivery from strategic capital planning through to handover and occupancy, leading teams to deliver exceptional outcomes on award-winning projects in the public and private sector.

As Design / Business Development Manager for Mossop, Jathin is responsible for the Design Phase delivery of the Design and Construct (D&C) and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) projects including design audits, value management, alternate building solutions, incorporating BIM, ESD and reviewing of safety-in-design.

Jathin has close to 30 years’ industry experience and also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B. Arch). Jathin brings 10 years’ experience as a practicing Architect to the role of Design Manager and 17 years of construction experience.

Also a Greenstar Accredited Professional, Jathin has attained training in BIM Essentials, Management Systems Auditing and Safety Supervision. He has lead Safety-in-Design reviews for Mossop from a construction perspective on several projects including the $45m UniSA Pridham Hall project.

Jathin has been championing innovation, sustainability and prefabrication at Mossop and considers BIM as a game changer for the construction industry to embrace modern construction methods. Jathin is well versed with BCA conditions, Green Star, NatHERS, WHS Act, OFSC Guidelines and other relevant Statutory requirements.

David Frisby-Smith

David Frisby-Smith

Company Accountant

David possesses over 20 years' experience in Accounting and Administration roles over a variety of industries (Banking, Service, Wholesaling, Manufacturing, Commercial Accounting Office and Construction). He has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Majoring in Accounting) (BCom-2007) and is a member of CPA Australia. 

In his leadership role with the Payroll, Finance, and IT teams, David is responsible for improving the efficiencies of the reporting process while ensuring that all financial processes (Payroll/Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/Bank transactions) are accurately processed on time, within the business and regulatory operating procedures/guidelines.

Simon Green

Simon Green

Construction Manager

As Construction Manager, Simon is responsible for overseeing resource allocation and ensuring the delivery of the construction phase of our projects, in accordance with contract requirements.

Driven by a desire to exceed outcomes and add value, Simon was an electrical engineer in the UK before moving Australia in 1995 where he developed extensive experience in the Australian building industry for tier 1 to tier 4 construction companies.

A confident and open communicator, Simon is adept at establishing collaborative, ongoing relationships among clients, contractors, and direct reports and has great ability to affect positive stakeholder engagement. This is supported by his strong project management background and broad perspective developed through experience in multiple project roles. These roles include contract administration, project management, contracts management, and Construction Manager.

Simon's experience and leadership skills add value, allowing our project teams to achieve their potential and deliver best-for-project outcomes for our clients. His management and oversight significantly contribute to the overall success of our projects.

Anthony Russo

Anthony Russo

Design & Construct Manager

With extensive project experience across all aspects of the project delivery phase from design, procurement, project management, value management to handover and occupancy, Anthony has considerable, proven experience leading teams to deliver exceptional outcomes on award-winning projects.

Working closely with the project team to integrate the Principal Project Requirements and key stakeholder objectives through the development of a Design Management Plan that captures the design and documentation phase activities, Anthony will ensure the linking of these to the procurement and construction phase activities.

As Design Manager, Anthony’s main responsibilities encompass buildability and constructability inputs in the design phase, achieving early resolution of potential issues, and developing with the team a detailed program integrating all project requirements in design, documentation, trade procurement, construction and occupancy activities.  As well as monitoring and controlling program performance and reporting, Anthony will further lead the development of a detailed risk and opportunities management plan (to enhance project delivery and value creation).

Another important aspect of the role will be collaboratively assisting subcontractors in the design documentation review process to ensure trades (and the site team) have a comprehensive understanding of all requirements in terms of translating the design team’s documentation into coordinated plans and shop drawings that result in productive, efficient, safe and high quality delivery onsite.

Throughout the life of the project, Anthony will implement his design and technical expertise, and collective approach as the key point of responsibility during construction, linking the project team with subcontractors to create a unified team in construction delivery and ensure high standards are maintained and design intent always achieved.

Craig Williamson

Mt Gambier Regional Manager

Craig joined Mossop Construction + Interiors in 2017 as the Regional Manager and Project Manager in our Mount Gambier Office. He previously worked as a Site Manager and Area Manager in the South East and Adelaide regions for 16 years and has been involved in the construction industry for over 30 years.

As Regional Manager Craig is responsible for the development of new relationships and management of existing key relationships with public and private clients and consultants in South Australia's South East and Western Victoria areas. Craig also works with our business development team in the Identification of upcoming opportunities and client liason within these areas. 

Craig's duties include the role of Regional Project Manager, and as such he is responsilble for overseeing the delivery of all technical, contractual, and administrative components of the project during the construction and DLP phases until Final Certificate is issued.

With key strengths lying in prompt and clear communication across the entire project team, as well as the client and building representatives, Craig allows for early identification and swift resolution of any potential issues that may arise throughout the project.

Dale Gentilcore

Estimating 2IC

As Estimating 2IC, Dale is responsible for assisting the Estimating Manager to lead the Estimating team from pre-tender to pre-start and through procurement. Dale maintains a responsibility to ensure a focussed, collaborative approach by the Mossop team to provide the best value-for-money outcome for the project stakeholders.

Dale joined Mossop in 2010 as estimator and after his continual proven success with managing numerous tender bids and supporting our estimating team, he went on to become Estimating 2IC in 2018.

In his previous role as Estimator, Dale has been involved in the delivery of many successful tenders and projects and has developed an in-depth knowledge of trade packaging, quantity of materials, labour hours and subcontractor strengths and weaknesses. His project involvement spans a large array of sectors including Education, Health, Office, Retail and Community projects and has developed an excellent rapport with many clients resulting in long-standing relationships.

Darcy Rayner

Darcy Rayner

QHSE Manager

As the QHSE Manager, Darcy’s primary role is to support Mossop Construction +Interiors’ team of Site Managers and Safety Supervisors to improve QHSE performance across the organisation through constant monitoring and increased auditing.

Darcy joined Mossop Construction + Interiors in 2005 and has over 20 years’ experience in the building and construction industry. Darcy previously worked as Site Safety Supervisor for many notable projects with Mossop including the WHS award-winning Ceduna District Health Service Redevelopment. After his continual proven success in managing complex safety considerations, he was promoted to HSE coordinator in 2014 and to QHSE manager in 2017.

Since becoming HSE coordinator, Darcy has contributed to reducing the number of MTI and LTI occurrences across all Mossop Construction + Interiors’ projects. Darcy has also ensured compliance with the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner as well as continual improvement within all Quality, Safety and Environmental ISO accreditations.

Jason Romano

Jason Romano

People & Culture Manager

Jason has over 26 years ‘experience in Management, Human Resources and Work, Health and Safety. He has held positions such as People and Culture Manager, HR and WHS Manager, Head of Human Resources, Human Resources Manager, Senior Consultant, HR Advisor/Recruitment Consultant, Managing Partner, Site Supervisor, HR Officer, WHS rep, Supervisor and Sales Consultant roles.

He has worked for companies such as multi-faceted service providers for the mining, oil & gas industry, permanent placement and HR consulting firms, Construction and Engineering, Automotive and retail, National Recruitment agencies, his own hospitality based business, major transport and warehousing firms and Security firms.

Jason is a proactive, professional, hands-on, results driven senior HR practitioner who loves people. Having extensive operational and HR system experience he prides himself in working at all levels, managing change, and helping Managers, Manage. Jason seeks to provide the highest standard of proactive management and HR consultancy to Directors, CEO’s, Senior Managers and Managers.

Providing superior service to all departments is a main driver, along with living and reflecting the company core values to staff and management. His prior experience, includes, HR, Management, Leadership and WHS consulting in manufacturing, hospitality, engineering, construction (Civil, Commercial and Residential), food services, transport logistics and warehousing and mechanical divisional sectors, providing him with the expertise and confidence to advise and consult to managers and staff at all levels of business.

Actively promoting the company core values across a business, he ties these into meetings and every day conversations for all staff. I endeavour to drive reward/recognition initiatives and have designed intercompany recognition programs reward and recognise staff for their good work to each other and help populate staff engagement and good will, laterally.

Matthew Player

Matthew Player

Interiors Construction Manager

In 2007 Matthew started with Mossop as an estimator. After working on a variety of projects, Matthew acquired an extensive mix of skills, training, and experience which he combined with first-hand knowledge of current rates, trends, and conditions shaping the market. This led to his promotion to Interiors Planner in 2014, and his subsequent appointment to Interiors Manager in 2017.

Matthew’s knowledge of fit-out works, problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities are invaluable assets in maintaining harmony within the Project teams and Client/Consultant groups.

As the Interiors Manager, Matthew’s role is to manage Mossop Construction + Interiors’ interior and fit-out projects and build the market position of our interiors business, creating value for clients in a manner that benefits their organisation and its stakeholders. Matthew is responsible for overseeing resource allocation and ensuring the delivery of the construction phase of the project, in accordance with the contract requirements, company objectives, policies and procedures (as outlined in the QA) and HSE Management Systems.

Paul Kassara

Contract Administration Manager

With over 18 years’ experience in the Building and Construction Industry, Paul joined Mossop as a Project Manager in 2015. He has a strong track record in developing and maintaining a collaborative approach amongst project team members. This ensures effective management of all project time, quality, and cost targets. His involvement in projects is invaluable to meeting client objectives.

As the Contract Administration Manager, Paul’s role is to manage Mossop Construction + Interiors’ Contract Administration team, in line with company objectives, policies, and procedures, as outlined in the QA and HSE Management Systems.

Amongst Pauls responsibilities are implementation of company policy and procedure, client liaising, and dissemination of the Mossop Construction + Interiors’ brand.

Paul is also heavily involved in the development of new relationships and management of existing key relationships with public and private clients and consultants, particularly cost consultants.

Also forming part of Pauls’ role is the overseeing of cost management activities to ensure that contract administration - from procurement of trade packages to the completion of defects liability period - complies with company objectives, policies and procedures. All undertaken with the diligence and efficiency required to maintain and increase project and business profitability.

Peta-Marie Matschoss

Peta-Marie Matschoss

Commercial Marketing Manager

As the Commercial Marketing Manager, Peta-Marie’s role is to support the Business Development Manager in growing and promoting the company’s interior fit-out and refurbishment business.

Peta-Marie Identifies upcoming opportunities within the South Australian commercial construction and interior refurbishment market segments, as well as acting as Client Liaison and overseeing implementation of company policy and procedure. She is also heavily involved in Project BID Management. 

Peta-Marie's brings over 20 years of experience in the Building and Construction Industry along with her extensive array of qualifications including a Masters in Business Management (MBA), and a Bachelor of Design (Interior Design).

Also, the president of Mossop’s Charity Committee, Peta-Marie has been passionately giving back to the community for over ten years with her many forms of fundraising and volunteering activities both in Australia and overseas. As a hands-on Global Build Volunteer in Vietnam and as a Global Build Team Leader to 24 volunteers in Cambodia, Peta-Marie’s been actively involved in building two homes for families in need. Her fundraising efforts have also raised significant amounts of money for cancer research and prevention, through her participation in countless charity events.
