Tucker Street Studio Apartments

An integral piece of Social Infrastructure for South Australia, this new development in the Adelaide CBD delivers affordable housing for older women who are at risk of homelessness. Delivered as part of the South Australian Government’s Public Housing Improvement Program, the project will ensure a safe and highly liveable space with facilities and support services.

The project comprises fifty studio apartments, five of which are fully accessible across six levels. Each apartment features a private balcony, a selfcontained kitchen and dedicated bathroom and laundry facilities.

The building also includes a range of on-site support services located on the ground floor, including a reception area, office spaces with meeting rooms, a communal room, an outdoor courtyard and a small number of on-grade car parks.

The project’s highly articulated design and premium materials, combined with the inclusion of 50 fully self-contained apartments on a compact CBD site, resulted in a higher than average square metre rate compared to similar social housing developments.

• Designed for future adaptability, with potential to combine units
