Mossop Construction + Interiors delivered a new two-storey Integrated Primary Health and Education Centre for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Port Augusta, bringing healthcare, education and research together within a purpose-built facility, the first centre of its kind in Australia’s Far North.

The facility features specialist medical consulting suites, treatment and procedure rooms, allied health facilities, dental processing areas, sterile services, nursing rooms, administration offices, and dedicated meeting and training spaces. Level 1 provides office, education and commercial tenancy spaces to support a diverse range of healthcare and workforce development activities.

Designed to support up to 25,000 patient consultations each year, the centre improves access to multidisciplinary healthcare for the Port Augusta community and remote patients across South Australia’s Far North.

Services supported within the facility include general practice, mental health, chronic disease management, Aboriginal health, digital health, occupational therapy and oral health.

More than a healthcare facility, the completed centre provides an integrated hub for healthcare delivery, education and workforce development. It will play an important role in improving health outcomes while helping attract, train and retain the next generation of rural healthcare professionals across South Australia’s Far North.
