Bethany Christian School Gymnasium and Sports Facility

The new Gymnasium and Sports Facility at Bethany Christian School will deliver a contemporary sporting and community space designed to support student wellbeing, physical activity and school engagement.

The state-of-the-art development centres around a 9-metre-high indoor gymnasium featuring an 800m² multi-purpose court, capable of accommodating a wide range of sports and activities including netball, basketball, indoor soccer and indoor bouldering. Complementing the indoor space is a new outdoor undercover court, providing additional flexibility for training, recreation and school sporting programs throughout the year.

Beyond the main courts, the facility has been carefully designed to support a diverse range of activities and users. A dedicated movement room provides a purpose-built space for dance, yoga and other wellbeing programs, while gallery space, offices and storage areas support the operational needs of staff and visiting groups.

Acoustic wall panels have been integrated throughout key areas of the building to enhance the indoor environment by reducing noise levels and improving comfort during large sporting events, classes and assemblies.

Replacing the school’s outdated outdoor courts, the new complex has been designed as a central hub for sport, creativity and community connection. In addition to supporting the school’s physical education and sporting programs, the facility is capable of hosting school events, assemblies, parent–teacher meetings and broader community functions.

The completed project provides Bethany Christian School with a modern, flexible and future-focused facility that will support students, staff and the wider community for many years to come.
