One SMG Lipson Street Development

This complex staged redevelopment delivered a state-of-the art automotive facility while maintaining the safe operation of portions of the site throughout construction.

Stage 1 involved demolition, retaining structures and selective building demolition to facilitate the workshop extension.

Stage 2 delivered construction of the new automotive facility featuring reception, office / staff areas and specialised workshop areas including a wash bay and paint baking booth, supported by new parking and vehicle storage areas. Key elements included epoxy flooring, precast concrete panels, structural steel framing, automated roller doors and high-quality internal finishes.

External graphics were designed and installed by Mossop personnel as part of the planning approval requirements, featuring an original Smith Motors photograph.

Stage 3 comprised demolition of the remaining building and final external works, including a secure car park, pavements, retaining walls, landscaping and access gates.

Works were carefully staged to maintain safety and minimise disruption while portions of the facility remained operational.
