Judges Comments: “The builder faced numerous challenges on this project ranging from site access to coordinating building works within the function requirements of the Convention Centre. There was no storage space on site and there were several unknown elements to overcome in relation to the existing structure. The judges were particularly impressed with the oak veneer ply ceiling resembling the underside of a boat hull. The motto to ‘do it right the first time’ paid dividends on this project with great results”
