As part of the SA Governments STEM program to modernise SA schools and ensure students have the skills to equip them for the future in our changing global environment Woodville High School was one of the first schools in the state to undertake the exciting transformation. With an entire level of their old dreary learning space completely demolished replaced with bright, modern and flexible spaces to allow for adaptive learning. The spaces housed new high-tech laboratories, interactive common learning areas, a green screen, performance and presentation areas, outdoor learning spaces and teacher’s hubs. A refresh of the technical studies area incorporated a new waffle pod concrete floor slab to replace the old timber suspended floor, an upgrade to services and new painting throughout revived the space.
