Mossop are currently delivering alterations and additions to the existing aged care Payneham Ward within the North Eastern Community Hospital (NECH), Campbelltown SA.

This project involves the full refurbishment to the ward to significantly improve the level of comfort to residents and staff alike, with facilities of a high-quality standard in a contemporary setting.

The current, dated aged care rooms will be refurbished removing the shared bathroom facilities and providing ensuite bathrooms to all bedrooms (15 in total), together with new staff facilities and upgrade to building services. The courtyard is also being upgraded to allow safe and comfortable use for the residents.

Additionally, the works also include the construction of 8 new bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a sunroom, plus a first floor ‘cold shell’ for future use, likely to be medical consulting rooms.

Stage 1 includes the addition and is a concrete and structural steel structure with a combination of aluminium windows and brick façade.

Daily consultation with our client is critical as we are working alongside sensitive and occupied areas over 3 stages. New areas are occupied once completed.

Our project team together with the design consultants and the client have a good working relationship, this is important with all projects and even more so when the work is within an operational facility.
