With the aim of strengthening and improving the coordination of care between allied, acute, and primary health care bodies, this project - jointly funded by the University of Adelaide and the Commonwealth government - comprises the construction and fitout of a state of the art oral health centre purpose built to support teaching, staff, and research functions as well as clinical patient care. The scope of works includes: 10 dental 'operatories' for students, teachers, and SA Dental Service staff; installation of x-ray chairs and other specialist equipment; an integrated IT solution; reception, administration, laboratory, and sterilisation zones; and teaching areas - including provisions for online learning and a teaching office.
