Refurbishment of heritage building previously used as professional rooms to a private residence. Originally constructed in the late 19th century of stone and red sandstock brick quoins, it was converted into professional rooms in the mid 20th century. The residence is 2 storey, loadbearing wall construction with a complex, multi-faceted pitched roof, a cellar, a ballroom addition attached to its north eastern corner, with boundary fencing on Brougham Place and Ward Street of stone and brick with cast iron railings. A separate croquet pavilion is located on the northern side on the boundary with the separately titled coach house. Mainly gothic revival with elements of Queen Anne and arts and crafts styles. Works consisted of alterations and additions to the existing residence, including conservation works, new lift, associated site works, fencing, kitchen addition, pool house, and garage with loft facing Ward Street. Works also included coordination of separate contracts for a lap pool, pool equipment, cast iron gates, and site landscaping.
