Mossop Construction + Interiors

St Domonic's Priory College New Year 12 Centre

Fitout

Client: St Domonic's Priory College
Value: $2.4m

The main project scope included the change of use of the existing development at 74 Hill Street from existing Medical Consulting Rooms to a new Year 12 centre located adjacent to the existing college campus.

The scope of works included minor internal alterations to the existing building to adapt to suit for educational purposes; and a new single storey addition with glazed link to provide added Studios (three of), breakout study spaces and new student amenities with associated expansion and adjustment to staff car park and landscaping.

Many challenges were faced and overcome with this small project. The project's program was very tight and with the construction to occur over winter it, Mossop needed to ensure that all subcontractors were managed with labour and materials to successfully deliver the job to the client. The design of the project was detailed and needed the contractors and Mossop site staff to be thorough with the review and with the construction of all details. With continual, consistent meetings with the subcontractors, and fortnightly meetings with the client and architect, everyone was driven and motivated to deliver and complete the project within budget and on time. The client was very satisfied with the end result.
