This project involved the fitout of 6,000m2 of office tenancy accommodation in the Adelaide CBD for the DIBP, to accommodate the relocation of approx. 420 staff. The fitout of five floors (levels 1-5) and a part ground floor consisted of flexible open plan workstation areas, quiet rooms, meeting spaces, kitchen/breakout facilities, equipment/utility areas, IT and server rooms. The Department’s design scope was further expanded to include: secure interview/ holding room facilities; client contact areas, such as counter and waiting areas; secure mail handling facilities; other purpose designed facilities to assist staff to meet work-life balance, such as carers’ rooms, prayer rooms, as required; and basement storage facilities for surplus furniture and equipment.
