The Regattas Bar+ Bistro was the first stage of the Riverbank Precinct Redevelopment so it had to make a statement about quality and success.
This has been achieved with an outstanding building that has met all requirements. The project was completed early and to a very high standard.
The cooperation between all team members and contractors to achieve the finished building was second to none.
The project consisted of three main areas, a full commercial kitchen and new toilet facilities within the existing building, refurbishment and lift alterations to the existing foyer and the new two level restaurant and function area built on top of the existing car park structure.
Access was a key issue as there were no roads to the site so close coordination with the Adelaide City Council and the Adelaide Convention Centre to deliver materials and erect structural steel from the parklands was a requirement throughout the project.
