• 101 Pirie Street Base Building Refurbishment and Dental Fitout
    Completed in 30 weeks

    This Managing Contractor project - comprising 3 stages - involved base building refurbishment of 8 floors (ground - 7th), and commercial fitout of the new home for Health Partners in SA, (level 1). Part A: Base building refurbishment to the ground floor entrance and lift lobby, including a complete reception upgrade, feature ceilings and stone walling; upgrade of the ground floor canopy; base building refurbishment of level 1; and the upgrade of lift cars. Part B: Dental clinic fitout on level 1 consisting of 20 new dental surgeries, sterilisation areas, high end reception joinery installation and client waiting areas. Part C: Base building upgrade to all other floors, including new toilet cores across all floors, base building infrastructure replacement; and upgrade to the external façade. Following successful completion, we have secured an additional $5m of executive suite and optical fitouts with Health Partners.

  • Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) Adelaide Office Fitout
    Completed in 12 weeks

    This project involved the fitout of 6,000m2 of office tenancy accommodation in the Adelaide CBD for the DIBP, to accommodate the relocation of approx. 420 staff. The fitout of five floors (levels 1-5) and a part ground floor consisted of flexible open plan workstation areas, quiet rooms, meeting spaces, kitchen/breakout facilities, equipment/utility areas, IT and server rooms. The Department’s design scope was further expanded to include: secure interview/ holding room facilities; client contact areas, such as counter and waiting areas; secure mail handling facilities; other purpose designed facilities to assist staff to meet work-life balance, such as carers’ rooms, prayer rooms, as required; and basement storage facilities for surplus furniture and equipment.
  • Old Parliament House

    Old Parliament House was constructed in 1843 and over time has seen at least 28 separate additions or improvements. The building is of major historical significance both at the state and national level with Old Parliament House the only building in South Australia on the national heritage register.

    Faced with an ageing and progressively dysfunctional facility, The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure engaged Mossop Construction + Interiors in the role of Managing  contractor under a collaborative form of contract to work with the project team. The project was to redevelop and upgrade the building in a manner that is sensitive to the heritage and historical context of the building and to provide a wholly 21st century functional (both use and infrastructure) and fully accessible (disability access compliant) building to meet long term requirements of the state and ensure ongoing maintenance of a significant piece of the state’s building history.

    Delivered on and adjacent the secure, operational and prominent North Terrace Parliament House site the conservation and redevelopment project was quietly and sensitively delivered to achieve the client desired outcomes.

    Mossop Construction + Interiors undertook the refurbishment of base building toilets over 13 levels; base building lift foyers upgrades over 17 levels, lift cart upgrade to all 6 lifts; upgrade of base building services and complete new refurbishment of the ground floor foyer entrance, back of house and plaza forecourt at 45 Pirie Street. Works were completed in 38 stages over 18 levels of the building whiles the building tenants remained in full occupation.

    Design and construction of an extension, alteration and interior fitout in a 2,620m² office building including the refurbishment of the State Heritage registered Brompton Methodist Church originally constructed in 1875. This refurbishment included the repairs to the ceilings and walls internally and stone work externally while providing an alternative entry to the Heritage building in sympathy with its original construction. Heritage ID No: 11805, including the construction of a 2 level, 84 space carparl for the building.

The building was in full occupancy during the works.
