    "The challenge of this project was to completely gut the ground floor of an operating hotel with minimal disruption to staff and patrons. major work was undertaken in the lobby, lounge, restaurant, bar, kitchen and foyer utilising complex finishes with very fine tolerances, and all within a base structure that lacked dimension consistency. The long-term relationship between builder and client has resulted in a high level of trust that brings with it high expectations for effective delivery and quality. The result is simply outstanding".

Their programming was finely tuned and managed, resulting in budget savings to such an extent that funds were returned to the hospital for subsequent additional works. The new development comprises a community centre; carparking; landscaping; two x 4 storey wings and one x 3 storey wing - all containing 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units. The builder worked extensively with the client, architect and other consultants to undertake a thorough value engineering process, achieving a 10% cost saving".

    The refurbishment of the old Charlie's Bar presented as a complex and highly detailed project. The work had to be executed whilst the Hotel continued to operate, and site access in the CBD added a further complication. The builder played a positive role in contributing to complex detailing solutions and constructability, which included resolving a large number of complicated details and specialist, finishes. Mossops also had to deal with latent conditions when encountering asbestos. The end result achieved an exceptionally high standard of workmanship. The builder's relationship with the Hilton Hotel is unique, having repeatedly completed work for them over many, many years.

The building as completed ahead of schedule and within budget enabling the University to meet its critical dates for commencement of lectures".

    “The Construction of this multi-purpose hall at Norwood provided a number of challenges to Mossop Construction + Interiors, ranging from restricted access, to flooding from a neighbouring property as well as several changes of key client personnel. This required concrete panels to be cast on site, steel work to be craned over other buildings and working through the possibility of a changed design approach partway through the project. Despite these challenges the final building is an impressive structure with sophisticated finishes and highly skilled detailing".

    Flinders University required modern and functional teaching facilities for the students which provides clear connectivity between the Flinders Hospital and Flinders University Campus. The three (3) storey building constructed on a sloping site with underlying rock contains 8 seminar rooms and a 250 person auditorium. The building applies green principles through shading of all glazing, the use of openable windows, economy cycle air conditioning and rainwater capture / reuse.
